DESCRIPTION

Flush Wood Doors with special sound retardant core. Tested and certified under the requirements of ASTM E90-87.

ITEM SPECIFICATIONS
Maximum Size 4'0" x 8'0" Single Door
Thickness 1 3/4"
Stiles 1" laminated stiles with 1/2" minimum hardwood. Bonded to core. 1 3/8" stiles optional.
Rails 2 1/4" softwood. Hardwood as specified. Bonded to core.
Core Particle board with special sound retardant core.
Adhesives Type II Interior
Faces All commercially available hardwood veneer species and high pressure plastic laminates.
STC Rating Single door - STC 40 - STC 47 Communicating pair - STC 50
Openings for
Lights and Louvers
Glass lights are not recommended. Ratings listed above are based on test of flush doors and any glass light (using acoustical rated glass) will reduce overall performance. Louvers are not permitted. Acoustical doors in pairs must have solid mullion fully grouted with gasketing identical to single doors.
Prefitting May be prefit to net sizes as specified.
Machining Must be factory machined for hardware as specified.

Mineral Core

DESCRIPTION

Architectural Mineral Core Fire Doors are intended for use where 90 minute fire barriers are required. These doors are listed by Warnock Hersey International and bear a W.H.I. Label.

Lights 100 sq. in. maximum 1/4" labeled glazing material (wire glass) installed in listed glazing frame, not nearer than 6" to any edge of the door. Maximum 10" width, minimum 3" width, and maximum 33" length. U.L. listed viewers not larger than 1" diameter. (All dimensions to visible glass).
Prefitting May be prefit to net sizes as specified.
Machining Must be factory machined for hardware as specified or by an authorized distributor, licensed to machine fire rated wood doors under label service.
Edge Guards Minimum 20 gauge steel channels with overlapping astragals are required on meeting stiles of pairs. When surface vertical rod exit devices are used overlapping astragal must be omitted.

Lumber Core
DESCRIPTION

Architectural Lumber Core Door, is manufactured with low density, kiln-dried, edge-glued wood blocks, providing versatile application of surface mounted hardware.

Meets or exceeds the following industry standards: Current ANSI / NWWDA I.S. 1A, W.I.C. Section 20, and A.W.I. Section 1300 when specified.

ARCHITECTURAL SOLID CORE DOOR

Core One species of edge-glued, low-density, kiln-dried wood blocks of random lengths with well staggered joints. Bonded to stiles and rails.

Faces All commercially available hardwood veneer species and high pressure plastic laminates.

Total area of openings not to exceed 40% of door area or 50% of door height; must be a minimum of 5" from edges of door.

Other Detail Work Metal louvers and light stops as specified. Wood louvers and light stops to match faces. Aluminum channels recommended on bottom rails of exterior doors.

Particle Board Core

DESCRIPTION

Architectural Partical Board Bonded Core construction provides maximum straightness and stability. Telegraphing is eliminated by manufacturing with a stree free core of uniform thickness.

Meets or exceeds the following industry standards: Current ANSI / NWWDA I.S. 1A, W.I.C. Section 1300 when specified.
